derived from Paul Stansifer's POV-Ray source files (see below), by me, 84user, using w:en:POV-Ray, w:en:Celestia, and w:en:IrfanView. Transparency version.

Planetary texture maps (with the exception of Earth) and Earth's cloud map were from en:Celestia version 1.5.1 dated 2008-04-06, used under the GPL, version 2, and so makes the whole image GPL-V2. Earth's surface is a monthly Blue Marble Next Generation image from en:NASA, and thus public domain. Uranus atmosphere was faked from a one pixel vertical slice stretched out to a texture map (to get a colour range) from NASA's public domain image taken by Voyager 2. Venus atmosphere is from JPL-Caltech's clone of a Mariner 10 image at http://maps.jpl.nasa.gov/venus.html, created by Seal. Neptune atmosphere is fictional texture by Don Davis, owned by JPL/Caltech at http://maps.jpl.nasa.gov/neptune.html. Saturn's globe texture is from Celestia, and its rings are adapted from NASA/ESA's Cassini imagery Image:PIA08361 Ring World.png.

84user's contribution (getting textures, partly circularising and enhancing the rings; and inside POV-Ray files: adjusting coordinates, changing light source and other parameters) is public domain and source files used are described at User:84user/Size comparison.

Physical information is based on the Wikipedia articles about the respective bodies. The colour of OGLE-TR-122b is based on an artist's rendition at [1].

Paul Stansifer's contributions to this image (mainly star surfaces OGLE-TR-122b and Sirius B) are available under the GPL, v. 2, and other licenses. See User:Paul Stansifer/Size comparison for more details and the other licenses.
