«Flagget er hvitt med rød rand på tre sider og med byvåpenet midt i duken. Den røde fargen skal være den samme som i det norske flagget. Proporsjoner: Hvit duk, høyde 9 deler, bredde tolv deler. «Byflagget er en hvit duk belagt med byvåpenet på elliptisk skjold, og med rød rand øverst, nederst og ytterst. Flaggets høyde er fastsatt til 9 deler, bredden til 12 deler, den røde randen til 1 del, avstanden mellom våpenskjoldet og øvre og nedre rand begge 2 deler. "The flag is white with a red border on three sides and the city arms centred on the cloth. The red colour shall be the same as in the Norwegian flag. However, judging by the original uploads by Eirik1231, who managed to get the file into the 71 KB range, it probably could be further improved. Anyone who wants to is welcome to give it a shot.

With that said, I seem to be increasing the file size. If anyone can and wants to reupload the file with a smaller size, but with no loss of information, please do.

Starting with the red colour, it is stated to be the same red as in the Norwegian flag. That shade of red is officially given as Pantone 186 C by the Nordic Council as well as the Nordic Flag Society. As for the gold, it is a tincture that in many situations, not the least when used on flags, is rendered as yellow. Here, I used Pantone 102 C as recommended by the National Archival...
